Candy Koh is an American artist, writer / critic, and multidisciplinary troublemaker based in New York City.
As a writer, she specializes in art and visual culture. Her areas of interest include the politics of production, distribution, and consumption of visual information ranging from pop culture to “fine” art. Her writings have appeared in a variety of publications, such as artcritical, ArtAsiaPacific, the ordinary aesthetic, and Seaweed Journal.
As a visual artist, her interests range from the spiritual subconscious in human existence to political destabilization through everyday guerilla performances.
Candy Koh holds an M.F.A. in Art Writing at the School of Visual Arts in New York City, and a B.A. in Literary Studies and Art (theory and sculpture) from Eugene Lang College at the New School University, NYC. She is also pending admission to the NY State Bar.
