EAT SHIT is an ongoing performance work. The artist sometimes sits somewhere (one time at a solo exhibition) and repeatedly writes “EAT SHIT” accompanied by an image on a square piece of paper that is part of a thick doodle pad. She writes and tears, writes and tears, writes and tears. The artist carries them around and gives them to people as a gesture of affection or to tell them to eat shit. It can be hard to tell which one she means.

The EAT SHIT paper can also act as a disposable talisman. If a person wishes to rid themselves of bad energy from another whom they’ve just encountered, they can crumple up an EAT SHIT paper and throw it in the direction of the person with bad energy soon after the latter leaves the space.
